What We Can Do for You

Select your area. Every service has a defined input, a defined output, and a fixed fee — no surprises.

You have a part design — or you're mid-design — and need to know if it's mouldable, what it will cost to tool, and what could go wrong before steel is cut. We'll save you an expensive redesign.

About

25+ Years on the Shop Floor and the Drawing Board

RFT Moulding brings over 25 years of hands-on experience across medical device, pharmaceutical, consumer goods, food packaging, and cosmetics — from high-volume commodity moulding through to precision regulated components.

Our background covers the full range: tool design and DFM, scientific moulding process development, process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), supplier management and audits, and manufacturing transfer in MDR and GMP environments.

RFT Moulding was set up to make that experience available to moulders, toolmakers, and product teams who need specific technical support — delivered remotely, at a fixed fee, without the overhead of a large consultancy.

If your part, process, or project needs to be right first time, that's exactly what we're here for.

FAQ

Common questions

If your question isn't here, just get in touch — we'll come back to you within one working day.

How do I send you my drawings?
By email to contact@rftmoulding.ie. We accept PDF, DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES, and SolidWorks/Creo native files. If your files are large, we'll send you a transfer link. No special software needed on your end.
How long does a typical review take?
Most deliverables are returned within 3–5 working days of receiving your complete inputs. Simpler services like cost estimates or tolerance reviews are often 1–2 days. Validation protocols take longer — typically 7–10 days. Turnaround is shown on each service card.
Do you do on-site visits?
No — all work is delivered remotely. In over 25 years of experience, the vast majority of moulding reviews, troubleshooting, and validation support can be done effectively with drawings, process data, photos, and a call. This keeps costs down and turnaround fast.
When do I pay?
The fixed fee is agreed before any work starts. Payment is due on delivery of the completed report or document. We invoice by email and accept bank transfer. For larger projects we may request a 50% deposit upfront — this will be agreed in advance.
What if I don't know which service I need?
Just describe your problem — by email, WhatsApp, or the contact form — and we'll tell you which service fits and what it will cost. No commitment required to ask a question.
Do you work with companies outside Ireland and the UK?
Yes. We work with clients in Ireland, the UK, and North America. Because everything is remote, time zones aren't usually a problem — North American clients are behind Irish time, so we can review inputs overnight and have deliverables ready for their morning.
Is my design information kept confidential?
Absolutely. All client information, drawings, and data are treated as strictly confidential. We're happy to sign an NDA before any information is shared — just ask when you get in touch.
Can you help if we're mid-project and things have gone wrong?
Yes — this is one of the most common situations. Whether it's a tool that won't run, a part that won't pass inspection, or a validation that's stalled, get in touch and we'll tell you quickly whether we can help and what it will cost to sort it out.
